Reflection

 Hello, blog! This is the last day to work on blogs. I can't believe this has come to an end. Throughout the year, blogging has been such a fun experience. I have learned so much about blogs and how important it is to keep updating as the process continues. I have learned a lot about analyzing films, recording a film, and editing.

CCR Additional Idea

 Hi blog! I wanted to update you on another idea I have to improve my CCR. I want to add pictures over the podcast to show examples of what I am speaking on. This is a great way to be as specific as possible and for the audience to visualize what I am saying. For example, when I bring up what camera we used, I will insert a photo of the camera. I do not know which pictures I will use yet, but later tonight when I decide, I will make another blog about it. 

Updates!

 Hi blog! Janelle and I are very close to completing the film and CCR. This whole process has been so much fun, but it is coming to an end. My favorite part has definitely been filming the actual movie and editing the CCR. I am so happy with the way that everything is turning out. I love that my creativity is being challenged and I am learning so much about the media world!

CCR Editing Process.

 Hi blog! It's May again, and I am so happy about how my CCR is coming together. I have added a title, music, transitions, and different effects to it so far. I noticed that a small part of the fourth question wasn't caught on film, so I am most likely going to have to go back to Janelle's house to record again. I can't wait for the final product!

Editing CCR

 Hi Blog! Today I am going to start editing my CCR. I know my exact vision for the CCR and really hope that I can make it come to life. I am using iMovie to edit it. I want to speed up the beginning where Janelle and I are just getting settled. I want to add a little bit of background music. I also want to add transitions between each question and subtitles! 

CCR Filming

 Hi blog! This past Monday, Janelle and I started filming our CCR. We took turns asking each other the questions depending on if it was my CCR or Janelle's. We used fake microphones to represent a real podcast. Answering the CCR questions opened my mind up to more things that I never even thought about. I loved going in-depth about the process of filming and the message that we want the audience to take away.

Editing Process

 Hi blog! There are two weeks left until the film is due! Janelle and I are editing the film right now. We are not completely done with it, but we have come a long way. Janelle showed me what she has done and we worked together to edit more. We edited credits onto the film, as well as the title of the film. We added scary music on the scenes where the doll transforms and comes closer to Janelle. We have a lot more to do, like lining up the clips better and adding more transitions. We also need to add more visual affects. I will update you guys when the film is complete!

Editing Ideas!

Hello, blog! We have completed filming all the footage for the film and need to plan how we are going to edit. We want to include diegetic sounds along with non-diegetic sounds. For the diegetic sounds, we included Janelle and her brother speaking, but if it is not easy to hear, we might add a voiceover that will match up with what they are saying. Since it is a horror movie, we will add suspenseful and scary music before any jump scare or fearful moment. We also want to include words on the screen, such as the movie title and credits. We have to shorten some clips that we filmed to remove some bloopers or take out any extra footage. The footage wasn't all taken in order, so we are going to have to match up the clips to create a film that flows. 

4/1 Blog!

Hi blog! Today we are in class and brainstorming some more creative ideas for our CCR. We know that it is going to be in a podcast style, but we want to add more creative aspects. We want to add interesting transitions between each question. We also want to add music over the intro with a title screen of our podcast name. My podcast will be called "MG Records," and Janelle's podcast will be called "JR Records." We have to change some of the answers we prepared for the CCR because the message of the film shifted a little bit when we had to switch from filming in the car to filming in the house.
